From Luxor to Aswan
Explore Ancients Egypt
The Dahabiya Nile Cruise, built in the traditional style for a unique experience while visiting the world famous archaeological treasures of upper Egypt . Explore The Temple of Edfu dedicated to Horus and built in Greco Roman times, also visit Gebel Silsileh which was a very famous quarrying area throughout all of ancient Egypt & visit the great Temple of Kom Ombo. Discover the world famous High Dam and Temple of Isis at Philae in Aswan . All the while let our crew look after your every need while sailing in Luxury on our beautiful Dahabiya Ali Baba.

Day 1 : Luxor & Karnack Temple
(East side of the Nile River Bank)
Transfer to the boat & check in, welcome meeting with the boat tour manager/guide,
Orientation for the boat facilities/structure.

Luxor has been one of the most historically significant and most visited locations on earth for centuries.
Luxor Temple, along with the temple complex of Karnack , play a large part in helping Luxor earn the nickname “ The World’s largest Outdoor Museum”
In ancient times an avenue of sphinxes ran the entire 3 km between them to connect the two sites. After 5 years of restoration two sections of the Avenue of Spinxes have been re created so you can walk in the exact footsteps of the Pharos.

Day 2 : Luxor/Esna/Edfu
( West Side of the Nile River Bank)
After breakfast, many exploring options to choose from – Valley of the Kings / Valley of the Queens/ Valley of the Nobles/Hot Air Baloon (option) /Esna Temple.
In the Valley of the kings, the main attraction remains the Tutankhamen Tomb , discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.
Queen Nefertiti, is of course the most famous tomb in the Valley of the Queens.
Located in different parts of the west Bank. You will have decided which one you wish to visit with your Tour guide as you must leave Luxor set sail for Edfu, early in the afternoon.
Depending on which options you choose it may be possible to visit the smaller, lesser known but every bit as fascinating Esna Temple.

Day 3 : Edfu / Temple of Horus
The Temple of Edfu/Horus is the second largest after Karnack & among the best preserved monuments in entire Africa.
After breakfast, your private horse drawn open top carriage ride will await you. Enjoy your journey and observe the towns local life as we clip clop ‘off the beaten track’ to the magnificent Temple.
Return in a carriage to the boat, and enjoy lunch while sailing to the picturesque Bassaw Island.
Upon arrival we will visit the very beautiful Egyptian Village and meet with the locals. There may be a chance to make bread or do some fishing. Chef will prepare a wonderful Barbecue dinner and we overnight on Bassaw Island.
Day 4 : Gabal El-silslah / Kom Ombo
During breakfast, enjoy the magical scenery of the river banks while sailing towards Gebel Silsileh where the The Nile Banks become steep sandstone Cliffs. Stunning sights of the remnants of many shrines, temples, tombs & monuments cut directly into the cliff face.
Returning to our Dahibeya, we will set sail for Kom Ombo, en-route we may stop by the island beach of Maniha for a swim and enjoy a delicious lunch.
Kom Ombo Temple, stands high on the Nile bank overlooking where crocodiles used to gather in ancient times. Magnificent as it comes into view and accessible by foot, famous for its 15 columns decorated with lotus flowers,sun images, Lilly as a symbol for upper Egypt and papyrus which is a symbol for Nile delta and the roof decorated with flying vultures. We then set sail for another of the beautiful islands of Herdiab. Cool off with a swim on the islands beautiful beach as we harbour here for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 : Aswan / Philae
The Island of Elephantine is located right in the middle of the Nile River in the city of Aswan. An authentic Nubian experience with two Nubian villages full of friendly people and many have opened there homes to visitors. A small & relaxing island, the traffic and noise of Aswan disappear on Elephantine yet there is so much to see on this island. Enjoy lunch on the boat as we sail to Philae temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. , the Temple of Philae is located in a beautiful setting, landscaped to match the original site of the temple when it was relocated by UNESCO after the building of the Aswan Dam threatened the site.
Dinner and overnight on board.  Optional with supplement payable locally:  Visit the botanical garden and boat trip between the rocks and the natural reserves of Nubia with the visit of a Nubian village. In the evening, light and sound show at Philae..

Day 6: Aswan / Abu Simble (Option)
Breakfast 7am/8am – check out
Abu Simbel is a small charming town in Aswan. However, the town's main attractions are two massive rock-cut temples - The Temple of Ramses II and Nefertari's Temple of Hathor.
Enjoy Lunch in Aswan ( at own expense) and finally no visit to Aswan would be complete without a visit to the World famous Aswan High Dam. Truly impressive and an engineering miracle when built in the 1960’s it holds back the Worlds largest man-made lake.
Back to Luxor ( 3 hours ) transfer
Overnight in Aswan ( OPTIONAL EXTRA)
